Anders Danielsen Lie is a critically acclaimed film actor, musician and medical doctor. He currently works as a general practitioner in Oslo. He gained worldwide recognition for his work with director Joachim Trier (Reprise, Oslo, August 31st), and has later worked with a number of award-winning international directors, alongside stars like Kristen Stewart and Mia Wasikowska. In 2018 he played the terrorist in Netflix’ docudrama 22 July by Oscar-nominated director Paul Greengrass, about the 2011 Norway attacks. The film has been viewed by millions worldwide.
In 2007 he wrote a non-fiction book on youth and reproductive health which was nominated for the Brage Prize, Norway’s most prestigious literary award. He has written for all the major Norwegian newspapers on health-related topics. In 2011 he released «This is autism», a concept album with music written, performed and produced by himself, based on recordings from his childhood.
Anders is an experienced and versatile speaker whose areas of interest range from the art of communication in healthcare and human relations, to how improvisation can enhance performance – in every field and working environment. He is also excellent as conference leader, host, moderator, debate or podcast participant. Anders draws from both his medical training and experience as actor and public figure. Both as a doctor and actor, Anders puts integrity and credibility at the forefront.
